- 1883 – Reinhardt Academy is founded to serve school-children of all age groups
- 1884 – School opens in an old cabinet and wood shop located at the southern edge of Waleska
- 1888 – First class graduates
- 1891 – School is chartered as Reinhardt Normal College
- 1893 – Military academies established at the school
- 1897 – Military training became mandatory for most students
- 1903 – First business classes are offered
- 1911 – The word "Normal" is dropped from Reinhardt's name, thus becoming Reinhardt College
- 1921 – First "college" students graduate from the school
- 1927 – School is accredited as a junior college by the State of Georgia
- 1948 – Elementary students leave Reinhardt for Cherokee County public schools
- 1948 – Soil Conservation Day, May 18; Vice President of the United States, Alben W. Barkley, visits the college, where volunteers made more than $100k in improvements to the physical campus
- 1956 – Older students transferred to Cherokee County's Cherokee High School, Reinhardt officially houses only college-age students
- 1957 – Student government association is founded
- 1975 – Chatsworth, Ga., center is opened
- 1982 – The eagle is selected as Reinhardt's mascot
- 1987 – North Fulton Center in Roswell, Ga., opens
- 1992 – School started Bachelor of Arts in business administration program
- 1994 – Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredited Reinhardt to award bachelor's degrees
- 1994 – Ga. State Route Hwy. 140 from the Bartow/Cherokee County line to Ga. Hwy 5 Business in Canton, Ga., is renamed Reinhardt College Parkway
- 1996 – Chatsworth, Ga., center is closed
- 1997 – Cartersville, Ga., center is opened
- 2000 – North Fulton Center moves to Alpharetta, Ga.
- 2003 – By this year, the school offered 24 four-year degree programs in thirteen areas
- 2007 – SACS approved first graduate program – Master of Business Administration
- 2008 – SACS approves the school as a level III -graduate institution
- 2009 - School holds 1st Annual Convocation of Artists and Scholars
- 2010 – Reinhardt College becomes Reinhardt University
- 2011 - Epworth Center campus is closed
- 2012 - Chambers at City Center in downtown Woodstock, Ga. opens
