Real Salt - History

History

Native Americans found a mineral-rich salt deposit from an old sea which is located what is now called Central Utah. In 1959, Milo and Lamar Bosshardt were having a difficult time keeping up their family farm until they discovered this salt deposit. The two began selling the salt to local farmers for their animals. The farmers were then using their salt to season their own food. After their costumers demanded the salt be used for everyday use, the company Real Salt was born.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

These anyway might think it was important
That human history should not be shortened.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

The basic idea which runs right through modern history and modern liberalism is that the public has got to be marginalized. The general public are viewed as no more than ignorant and meddlesome outsiders, a bewildered herd.
    Noam Chomsky (b. 1928)

History does nothing; it does not possess immense riches, it does not fight battles. It is men, real, living, who do all this.... It is not “history” which uses men as a means of achieving—as if it were an individual person—its own ends. History is nothing but the activity of men in pursuit of their ends.
    Karl Marx (1818–1883)
