Ratchet & Clank

Ratchet & Clank is a series of platform video games. The franchise was created and developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PS2 and PS3 consoles, with the exclusion of Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank, which were developed by High Impact Games for the PSP (and later ported to the PS2). Every game in the series has been released exclusively for the PlayStation family of consoles as the IP is owned by Sony Computer Entertainment.

The games take place in a science fiction setting and follow the adventures of Ratchet (an animalistic human-like character known as a Lombax, who is a mechanic) and Clank (a diminutive, sentient robot) as they travel through the universe, saving it from evil forces on a regular basis. The series is noted for the inclusion of many exotic and unique, over the top weapons and devices, a concept that Insomniac Games also expanded into their other games. On November 4, 2012, it was the official 10th Anniversary of the Ratchet & Clank Franchise.
