Death

On 23 November 2004, Eitan arrived at the Mediterranean sea port of Ashdod, where he was overseeing a port expansion project. Eitan's body was recovered by the Israeli Navy and he was pronounced dead after efforts to revive him failed.

Famous quotes containing the word death:

What we think of as our sensitivity is only the higher evolution of terror in a poor dumb beast. We suffer for nothing. Our own death wish is our only real tragedy.
    Mario Puzo (b. 1920)

This morning men deliver wounds and death.
They will deliver death and wounds tomorrow.
And I doubt all. You. Or a violet.
    Gwendolyn Brooks (b. 1917)

Dreams pursue death as winds a flying fire,
Our dreams pursue our dead and do not find.
    —A.C. (Algernon Charles)
