R4: Ridge Racer Type 4

R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 is a racing video game developed by Namco for the PlayStation. It is the fourth title in the Ridge Racer series and the last to be released for the PlayStation. The game was released in Japan on December 3, 1998, in North America on May 4, 1999 and in Europe on September 1, 1999. It was later re-released on the PlayStation Network in 2011. It is one of the first games on the PlayStation to utilise Gouraud shading on polygons.
