  1. Arignar Anna Zoological Park is 5.10 km2 (1.97 sq mi) in Chennai.
  2. Madras Crocodile Bank Trust, a reptile zoo and herpetology research station, located 40 km south of Chennai.

Five unrecognised mini zoos stimulate public awareness of wildlife conservation.
