Principal Point (64°55′S 63°27′W / 64.917°S 63.450°W / -64.917; -63.450Coordinates: 64°55′S 63°27′W / 64.917°S 63.450°W / -64.917; -63.450) is a prominent ice-covered headland lying 4 nautical miles (7 km) east of Cape Errera and forming the southeast end of Wiencke Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. First charted by the French Antarctic Expedition under Charcot, 1903-05. The name, applied by the Argentine Antarctic Expedition, 1953–54, suggests the prominence of the feature.
