Plano West Senior High School - Campus and Facilities

Campus and Facilities

In keeping with Plano ISD’s senior high model, Plano West is an open campus containing several buildings, with a layout similar to a junior college. Following the completion of current additions and renovations, the school will be made up of seven buildings, “A”-“G”. Building “A” houses the Social Studies, English, and Foreign Language departments. Additionally, the building contains school offices, computer labs, an early childhood school partly staffed by Plano West students, and the school cafeteria (students are allowed to eat lunch either on or off campus). Building “B” contains the Science department and the school library. Building “C” houses performing arts classes (including music theory and technical theatre) and practice facilities, as well as the school auditorium. Building “D” consists of the main competition gym; other athletic practice facilities are housed in buildings “A” and “F”. Building “E” contains the Mathematics department, including computer science courses. Upon completion, building “G” will house Career Technology labs and Visual Arts courses, along with collaboration rooms for student use.

Buildings A, B, and C (as well as G upon completion) form a main courtyard that includes a fountain.

Famous quotes containing the word facilities:

I have always found that when men have exhausted their own resources, they fall back on “the intentions of the Creator.” But their platitudes have ceased to have any influence with those women who believe they have the same facilities for communication with the Divine mind as men have.
    Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815–1902)
