History
In 1960 the original strip of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard extended from North Shallowford Road in Atlanta to the then unbuilt interchange with Interstate 285 in Doraville. In 1969 when Interstate 285 opened, Peachtree Industrial Road was extended northward to Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross. The road from I-285 to Peachtree Parkway (SR 141) in Norcross was upgraded to a freeway in 1999.
