Payerne is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It was the seat of the district of Payerne, and is now part of the district of Broye-Vully.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of the Swiss government is headquartered in Payerne, by Payerne Airport.
Payerne is also the home of a major airbase of the Swiss Air Force.
