History
When established in 1932, OH 310 existed entirely within Licking County. At the time, it only extended across the portion of its current routing from US 40 in the hamlet of Etna to OH 16 in Pataskala.
In 1937, OH 310 underwent extensions at both the southern and northern ends of the route. To the south, OH 310 was extended into Fairfield County to its current southern terminus at a then newly-extended OH 204. North of Pataskala, OH 310 was designated along a previously un-numbered road up to a junction with OH 37 southeast of Johnstown.

“The principle office of history I take to be this: to prevent virtuous actions from being forgotten, and that evil words and deeds should fear an infamous reputation with posterity.”
