Ockendon Railway Station
Ockendon station is a railway station located in South Ockendon in the borough of Thurrock, England. The station is located between Upminster and Chafford Hundred and is 18 miles (29 km) down the line from its London terminus at Fenchurch Street. The station is located on a passing loop of a single track branch from Upminster to Grays. The station was opened on 1 July 1892 by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. All passenger train services are provided by c2c, which also manages the station. Although the station is outside London fare zones 1 to 6, it became part of the Oyster card pay-as-you-go rail network in January 2010. Ticket barriers are in operation.
