Public Transportation

Rail transportation is primarily provided by Amtrak and South Shore Line. South Shore Line turns between Chicago and South Bend, making a dozen stops throughout the region. Many cities have either a fixed-route bus service system or an on-demand bus service system. The level of service, fares and amenities can vary widely between systems. The inter-city bus service is provided by Greyhound and Coach USA bus system.
