Famous quotes containing the word education:

Whether in the field of health, education or welfare, I have put my emphasis on preventive rather than curative programs and tried to influence our elaborate, costly and ill- co-ordinated welfare organizations in that direction. Agnes E. Meyer (1887–1970)

We have not been fair with the Negro and his education. He has not had adequate or ample education to permit him to qualify for many jobs that are open to him.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

    Samuel Richardson (1689–1761)
