Night Vision

Night vision is the ability to see in low light conditions. Humans have poor night vision compared to many animals, in part because the human eye lacks a tapetum lucidum.

Famous quotes containing the words night and/or vision:

Holland is a dream, Monsieur, a dream of gold and smoke—smokier by day, more gilded by night. And night and day that dream is peopled with Lohengrins like these, dreamily riding their black bicycles with high handle-bars, funereal swans constantly drifting throughout the whole country, around the seas, along the canals.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)

Would not some lightning flash of vision sear people’s consciousness into life again? What was the good of stopping the war if armies continued?
    John Dos Passos (1896–1970)
