Tom was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Charles and Marie Tom. She has a twin brother, David Tom, best known for his role as Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless. Tom also has an older sister Heather Tom, who is best known for her role as Victoria Newman McNeil Howard on The Young and the Restless.
