New Mexico Lobos Football
The New Mexico Lobos football team is the intercollegiate football team at the University of New Mexico. The Lobos compete as a member of the Mountain West Conference. They have a cumulative record of 449–513–31. Their official colors are cherry and silver. The Lobos' 30th head coach is Bob Davie, taking over for the former coach Mike Locksley. Locksley, was fired in September, 2011, after a loss to Sam Houston State. Locksley had taken over in 2008, and went 2 and 28 in his tenure with the Lobos. Locksley's predecessor was Rocky Long, who had guided the Lobos to five bowl games in seven seasons. The Lobos play their home games at University Stadium.
