Nepanagar

Nepanagar is an industrial township in Burhanpur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Nepanagar is famous for its newspaper paper mill, Nepa Mills Limited (earlier known as The National News Print Ltd). The word "NEPA" is coined from NEwsprint PAper,hence the name.This small township falls between Burhanpur and Khandwa and is surrounded by many small villages. This place is accessible by main line railway that runs between Bhusawal Junctiona and Itarsi Junction. Not all trains stop here though. Please refer to Indian Railways website for more details. Nepanagar is also accessible by Road from the route going to Burhanpur. At Asirgarh the raod bifucates into in ill maintained road that goes to Nepa. The total distance is 14km. There is no airport at this little town. Nearest airport is Indore from where either a bus comes to Nepa via Khandwa or you can hire private taxi the total travel time is around 4 to 5 hours depending on what you choose as a mode of transport.

The Nepa mill area is covered in 107 acres of land and township 1762 acres totalling 1869 acres of land. There is a well-developed township in Nepa, which is equipped with all the facilities. The Company has 2164 residential quarters in the township.
