Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe - Release

Release

For the release of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe's Kollector's Edition, a Kollector's Edition cover was done by Alex Ross. Also included in the Kollector's Edition is a 16-page comic book prequel, Beginnings, which was illustrated by Mortal Kombat co-creator John Tobias.

Downloadable content (DLC) had been confirmed by Major Nelson, but was canceled due to Midway's financial issues. Ed Boon had stated that they would have been updating MK vs. DC periodically with new content all the way up to the release of the next installment of the Mortal Kombat series: "I'd like to have as soon as possible. I think that might be a great Christmas gift to reinvigorate the game". Ed Boon informed on his Twitter account that the plan for DLC had been scrapped. As clarified by 1UP, this removal occurred because Midway had filed for its bankruptcy and was purchased by Warner Bros. Interactive after the suggestion of downloadable content.

Famous quotes containing the word release:

    As nature requires whirlwinds and cyclones to release its excessive force in a violent revolt against its own existence, so the spirit requires a demonic human being from time to time whose excessive strength rebels against the community of thought and the monotony of morality ... only by looking at those beyond its limits does humanity come to know its own utmost limits.
    Stefan Zweig (18811942)

    Come, thou long-expected Jesus,
    born to set thy people free;
    from our fears and sins release us,
    let us find our rest in thee.
    Charles Wesley (1707–1788)

    If I were to be taken hostage, I would not plead for release nor would I want my government to be blackmailed. I think certain government officials, industrialists and celebrated persons should make it clear they are prepared to be sacrificed if taken hostage. If that were done, what gain would there be for terrorists in taking hostages?
    Margaret Mead (1901–1978)
