World Education Congress (WEC)
The World Education Congress is MPI's global conference that is held annually in July or August, traditionally somewhere in North America. The WEC features education sessions with a focus on business, leadership and other career-development skills. There is a tradeshow component (MeetingPlace). WEC has a more international perspective than does MPI's other conferences. It also offers General Sessions and networking and marketplace/business opportunities.

Famous quotes containing the words world, education and/or congress:
“The idea that information can be stored in a changing world without an overwhelming depreciation of its value is false. It is scarcely less false than the more plausible claim that after a war we may take our existing weapons, fill their barrels with cylinder oil, and coat their outsides with sprayed rubber film, and let them statically await the next emergency.”
—Norbert Wiener (18941964)
“Toward education marriage nervous breakdown, operation, teaching
school, and learning to be mad, in a dreamwhat is this
life?”
—Allen Ginsberg (b. 1926)
“The veto is a Presidents Constitutional right, given to him by the drafters of the Constitution because they wanted it as a check against irresponsible Congressional action. The veto forces Congress to take another look at legislation that has been passed. I think this is a responsible tool for a president of the United States, and I have sought to use it responsibly.”
—Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)
