Famous quotes containing the word drew:
“She drew back; he was calm
It is this that had the power,
And he lashed his open palm
With the tender-headed flower.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“But let me open up my heart to you completely, my friends: if there were gods, how could I bear not being a god! Hence, there are no gods. I drew this conclusion, to be surebut now it draws me.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“The complete life, the perfect pattern, includes old age as well as youth and maturity. The beauty of the morning and the radiance of noon are good, but it would be a very silly person who drew the curtains and turned on the light in order to shut out the tranquillity of the evening. Old age has its pleasures, which, though different, are not less than the pleasures of youth.”
—W. Somerset Maugham (18741965)
