Family
Mark is the father of four sons and one daughter. His oldest son, Brandon, was a standout athlete at Gulf Shores High School in both football and basketball and is attending Stanford University as a tight end. His father, Joe Gottfried, was also a basketball coach and recently retired as Director of Athletics at the University of South Alabama. His uncle, Mike Gottfried, was a college football head coach and is now an analyst on ESPN college football broadcasts. Both served as head coaches of their respective programs at Murray State.
