Marianne Faithfull - Career As A Diarist

Career As A Diarist

In 1994, she published an autobiography, entitled Faithfull, in which she discusses her early life, career, drug addictions, experimentation with bisexuality and significant relationships with her parents, the various Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.

In 2007, Faithfull released a second volume of autobiography called Memories, Dreams and Reflections. The book, published by Fourth Estate (an imprint of HarperCollins), was a more personal history than Faithfull and contains a wide range of material, including a detailed early history of her mother's life in Austria, her recollections of friends who have died, and her assessments of various recent health problems.

Famous quotes containing the words career as a and/or career:

My ambition in life: to become successful enough to resume my career as a neurasthenic.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

I began my editorial career with the presidency of Mr. Adams, and my principal object was to render his administration all the assistance in my power. I flattered myself with the hope of accompanying him through [his] voyage, and of partaking in a trifling degree, of the glory of the enterprise; but he suddenly tacked about, and I could follow him no longer. I therefore waited for the first opportunity to haul down my sails.
    William Cobbett (1762–1835)
