Automobile Engineering Department The department was started in 1985 with an intake of 30 students. The college increased its capacity to 60 students in 1999 and as of date that remains the same.
M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering has the only degree certified course in Automobile Engineering, in the University of Mumbai.
Many of the students after completing their degree (B.E.) go to university to complete their Masters in specialized fields.
Electronics Department & Computer Department The department started in 1994. It is equipped with labs like Signal processing lab, robotics lab, communications lab, industrial electronics lab etc. The students have pursued their projects and research at organizations like the IIT, BARC, TIFR, VSNL, L&T, TCS, and Global Telesystems. In-house projects have been in signal processing, robotics, and PLCs. The students from the department have bagged awards at IIT(Yantriki) and the IEEE Mumbai chapter for robotics competitions and paper presentations.
The students branch of the IEEE organizes "360 Degrees" which is the annual technical intercollegiate festival hosted by seven engineering colleges viz, RAIT, Atharva College of Engineering,VESIT, KJ Somaiya and MHSS CoE. The IEEE central (USA) has also funded the electronics department on account of the departments efforts to progress technology and educating and awarding people of technology. Hardware maintenance workshops, paper presentations, and guest lectures are held by the IEEE students chapter of the MHSS CoE to bring about awareness of developments in technology. Industrial tours to places like Hyderabad and Bangalore are held to give industrial exposure to the students.
The Mechanical Engineering course started in 2007 with intake of 60 students. The students of the department achieved their first success when they stood runner-up at I.I.T. tech-fest in Robo-war event in their debut year.
