London Luton Airport - Airlines and Destinations

Airlines and Destinations

London Luton airport is currently used by ten passenger airlines. The largest operator by far is EasyJet, which is headquartered here, and for whom Luton is among their largest bases. Easyjet flights account for approximately a half of passenger movements through the airport. Wizz Air is comfortably the second largest, however Luton is not a base of the airline. Half of its movements are between 07:00 and 08:00, and there are periods of up to 5 hours where there are no arrivals or departures of Wizz Air flights. Monarch Airlines, Ryanair and Thomson Airways also have bases here, and have a significant presence at the airport. El Al operates the largest passenger aircraft to Luton, a Boeing 767-200, but very occasionally will substitute for this a Boeing 777-200 when there is exceptionally high demand.
