Models
The erstwhile Rosebud Kitmaster company produced an unpowered polystyrene injection moulded model kit for 00 gauge, which went on sale in Spring 1961. In early 1963, the Kitmaster brand was sold by its parent company (Rosebud Dolls) to Airfix, who transferred the moulding tools to their own factory; they re-introduced some of the former Kitmaster range, including this locomotive. The tools were destroyed in a fire at the premises of Dapol Model Railways Ltd in Winsford, Cheshire so that Dapol were unable to produce further kits after their first two production runs totalling 4000 kits after acquisition of the former Airfix moulds. Dapol did however produce a Ready to Run 00 gauge model of the J94 and used the earlier Kitmaster model in certain catalohue shots and exhibition displays prior to receiving finished samples. This model was subsequently sold to Hornby Railways in Margate where it remains in production. Graham Farish and, subsequently, Bachmann produced N gauge Ready to Run models of the J94.

Famous quotes containing the word models:
“The parents who wish to lead a quiet life I would say: Tell your children that they are very naughtymuch naughtier than most children; point to the young people of some acquaintances as models of perfection, and impress your own children with a deep sense of their own inferiority. You carry so many more guns than they do that they cannot fight you. This is called moral influence and it will enable you to bounce them as much as you please.”
—Samuel Butler (18351902)
“Friends broaden our horizons. They serve as new models with whom we can identify. They allow us to be ourselvesand accept us that way. They enhance our self-esteem because they think were okay, because we matter to them. And because they matter to usfor various reasons, at various levels of intensitythey enrich the quality of our emotional life.”
—Judith Viorst (20th century)
“... your problem is your role models were models.”
—Jane Wagner (b. 1935)
