Geography

Little Lever was a hamlet, bounded on three sides, by the water courses, the River Irwell, the River Croal and Blackbrook. In 1901 it covered 808 acres (3.27 km2) including 37 of inland waterway. In the 2001 Census it is listed as having 481 hectares (1188 acres).
