Famous quotes containing the words satellite and/or based:
“Books are the best things, well used; abused, among the worst. What is the right use? What is the one end, which all means go to effect? They are for nothing but to inspire. I had better never see a book, than to be warped by its attraction clean out of my own orbit, and made a satellite instead of a system.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
“The time must come, my friend ... when brutality and the lust for power must perish by its own sword.... For when that day comes, the world must begin to look for a new life, and it is our hope that they may find it here. For here we shall be, with their books, and their music, and a way of life based on one simple rule: Be kind.”
—Robert Riskin (1897–1955)
