    • With You Only Live Twice and Moonraker being notable exceptions, Bond is almost always seen at the HQ of MI6 (referred to as MI7 in Dr. No) in central London. This has been specifically the genuine article: the Vauxhall Cross building on the Thames from GoldenEye (1995) onwards. Prior to that it was a nondescript building near Whitehall, sometimes (e.g. Dr. No, OHMSS, The Living Daylights) ostensibly the HQ of Universal Exports, the Secret Service's front company.

Famous quotes containing the words depicted and/or films:

    Et in Arcadia ego.
    [I too am in Arcadia.]
    Anonymous, Anonymous.

Tomb inscription, appearing in classical paintings by Guercino and Poussin, among others. The words probably mean that even the most ideal earthly lives are mortal. Arcadia, a mountainous region in the central Peloponnese, Greece, was the rustic abode of Pan, depicted in literature and art as a land of innocence and ease, and was the title of Sir Philip Sidney’s pastoral romance (1590)

Does art reflect life? In movies, yes. Because more than any other art form, films have been a mirror held up to society’s porous face.
    Marjorie Rosen (b. 1942)
