List of Dragon Breeds (Temeraire) - Incan Dragons

Incan Dragons

Although Granby identifies at least twenty eight new distinct breeds of dragon, the majority have not been shown with names. Incan dragons are distinct from other breeds in that they all possess feathers on their scales which, when raised, can make them seem almost twice their actual size and few, it seems, possess breath weapons.

  • Copacati: Seemingly a small heavyweight, the Copacati is a sleek dragon with green tipped long silver feathered scales and enormously long black fangs which overhang the lower jaw. While the Copacati is capable of a vitriolic attack, it seems to have a limited supply of venom which it can expel.
  • Yupanqui: A middleweight dragon covered in green and purple feathered scales and a minor talent for languages.
  • unnamed fire breather: Equivalent in size to a courier dragon, this firebreather can only breath small and brief spurts of fire in close quarters and so is not as useful a weapon in the army as the Kazilik or Flamme-De-Goire. Britain was in negotiations for an egg before the negotiations for the Kazilik egg from the Ottoman Empire.

Famous quotes containing the word dragons:

Hermann and Humbert are alike only in the sense that two dragons painted by the same artist at different periods of his life resemble each other. Both are neurotic scoundrels, yet there is a green lane in Paradise where Humbert is permitted to wander at dusk once a year; but Hell shall never parole Hermann.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)
