History
- Handball championship "División de Honor" was created in 1958 and was managed by Spanish Handball Federation (FEBM) until 1990. ASOBAL (Handball Clubs Association) was formed in 1984. In 1990, ASOBAL take the control of the championship of División de Honor and rename as Liga ASOBAL.
