Regional Liberal Parties

However those in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec are split into provincial and federal wings. The provincial parties have separate policies, finances, memberships, constituency associations, executives, conventions and offices.

Famous quotes containing the words liberal and/or parties:

Any appellative at all savouring of arbitrary rank is unsuitable to a man of liberal and catholic mind.
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)

The old parties are husks, with no real soul within either, divided on artificial lines, boss-ridden and privilege-controlled, each a jumble of incongruous elements, and neither daring to speak out wisely and fearlessly on what should be said on the vital issues of the day.
    Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919)
