Leo J. Ryan Award
The Leo J. Ryan Education Foundation established the Leo J. Ryan Award in honor of the congressman. The Foundation, originally titled "Cult Info", changed its name in honor of the congressman in 1999. It is based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The first award was given in 1981. Notable recipients include Ronald Enroth, Ph.D.; John Gordon Clark, M.D.; Gabe Cazares; Robert Lifton, M.D.; Louis Jolyon West, M.D.; journalist Richard Behar; Congressman Ryan's daughter Patricia Ryan; Michael Langone, Ph.D.; Flo Conway and Jim Siegelman; and Bob Minton.
