Famous quotes containing the word casts:

The genius is a genius by the first look he casts on any object. Is his eye creative? Does he not rest in angles and colors, but beholds the design,—he will presently undervalue the actual object.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The desire to be significant casts a pall.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

Man flows at once to God when the channel of purity is open. By turns our purity inspires and our impurity casts us down.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
