McNaught married Tanya R. Gonzalez on June 14, 2000, but they divorced on May 16, 2006. The couple had a daughter named Natallye (born 2003). Cade later remarried Tanya, and had another daughter named Laryssa (born 2008). Cade also had a stepson named Brian. He was the son-in-law of wrestler Black Gordman. In January 2010, McNaught attended rehabilitation, and completed a 30-day program in February. Cade was close friends with his tag team partner Trevor Murdoch, as well as his trainer Shawn Michaels, Charlie Haas, and WWE referee Marty Elias.
