Lakhva

Lakhva (or Lachva, Lachwa) (Belarusian and Russian: Лахва, Hebrew: לחווא, Polish: Łachwa, Yiddish: לאַכװע) is a small town in southern Belarus, with a population of approximately 2100. Lakhva is considered to have been the location of one of the first, and possibly the first, Jewish ghetto uprisings of the Second World War.
