KUQI is the Fox-affiliated television station for the Corpus Christi, Texas market; it is owned by High Maintenance Broadcasting (run by Deidre Gillis, Lori Hoffmann and Vanisha Mallory). The station broadcasts its digital signal on UHF channel 38.
Because KUQI is a high-power television station, its signal covers the Corpus Christi, Texas metropolitan area, as well as outlying towns as far as Raymondville and George West. The coverage area is far greater than that of the market's first Fox affiliate, low-powered K47DF channel 47. However, reception of KUQI in nearby towns, such as Kingsville and Bishop, was proven difficult the first few weeks on the air. The reason for this lack of signal is currently unknown and it has been resloved; as it is a new station, technical problems have been identified and the station's owners will address them accordingly. In addition, most local cable companies have included KUQI in their cable line-up.
