Animal Welfare Concerns
In 2012, Mercy for Animals conducted an undercover investigation at Christensen Farms, a pork supplier to Kroger, Safeway, Walmart, Costco, and Kmart. Before the public release of Mercy For Animals’ investigation at Christensen Farms, Kroger announced they would begin requiring their pork suppliers to phase out gestation crates.
