The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) is the state news agency of North Korea and has existed since December 5, 1946. The agency portrays the putative views of the Workers' Party of Korea and the North Korean government for foreign consumption. KCNA is headquartered in the capital city of Pyongyang. In South Korea, access to both KCNA websites: www.kcna.kp and www.kcna.co.jp, are blocked by the South Korean government.
