King's Road or Kings Road, known popularly as The King's Road or The KR, is a major, well-known street stretching through Chelsea and Fulham, both in west London. It is traditionally associated with 1960s style, and fashion figures such as Mary Quant and Vivienne Westwood.
Famous quotes containing the words road and/or king:
“And this shall be for music when no one else is near,
The fine song for singing, the rare song to hear!
That only I remember, that only you admire,
Of the broad road that stretches and the roadside fire.”
—Robert Louis Stevenson (18501894)
“I dont wish to give offense when I suggest that this country should select a king, or even a queen, rather than a president. One isnt that quick to shoot a king or a queenthe majesty of royalty, you see.”
