The King's Cup is an international football competition held in Thailand. It has been played annually since 1968, with the exception of 1983, 1985, 2008 and 2011. In some years, the competition has featured club or invitational teams as well as international sides.
The 2010 King's Cup was held from 17–23 January 2010, for the first time in a round-robin format. Denmark's League XI won the tournament for the second year in a row, after beating Poland's League XI 3–1, Singapore 5–1, and hosts Thailand 3–0. Second place went to Poland's League XI — who beat Thailand 3–1 and beat Singapore 6–1. Thailand took third after beating Singapore 1–0.

Famous quotes containing the words king and/or cup:
“Thy great leaves enfold
The ancient beards, the helms of ruby and gold
Of the crowned Magi; and the king whose eyes
Saw the Pierced Hands and Rood of elder rise
In Druid vapour and make the torches dim....”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
“In poorer lands
No one touches the water of life.
It has no taste
And though it refreshes absolutely
It is a cup that must also pass
Until everybody
Gets some advantage....”
—John Ashbery (b. 1927)
