Faculty of Arts and Humanities

The faculty established in 1970. The English language department was the first department opened in 1970 which was changed to Department of European Languages. The establishment of the faculty passed through a number of stages. In 1992-93 the separation of two faculties (Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Economics) took place as it was a combined for the first year as a preparatory year, and the preparatory year was abandon entirely before. The faculty of Arts is the second biggest faculty in the KAU, contains nine departments:

The College of Arts and Humanities, King Abdul Aziz University in the academic year 1389/1390 1389/1390 AH 1969/1970 1969/1970 at the direction of the Advisory Committee of Experts filed its report to the Foundation of King Abdul Aziz University, after careful study showed the relationship between the establishment of the faculty needs of the Kingdom of qualified scientists and qualified for the supply of organs of the State competencies to contribute to national development plans in various fields.

College does not ignore the importance of global standards in management and quality of education.
