Road
Karur is well connected with rest of India through all modern means of transportation. There are 2 National highways NH-7 (Varanasi - Kanyakumari), now its become India's Longest & Widest road called NSC ( NORTH-SOUTH CORRIDER road ) Kashmir to Kanyakumari passes through Karur and NH-67 (Nagapattinam - Tanjavur - Trichy - Karur - Coimbatore - Ooty - Gudalur) that ply through Karur. And so an undergone new NH-67A is originating from Karur to Manglore via, Erode - Gobichettipalayam - Sathyamangalam - Chamrajnagar - Mysore.

Karur (Station Code - KRR) is the main jn., under new Salem division is connected to the Indian Railways network.
