Facilities at Kananook include a large steel shelter in the centre of the platform and a myki ticket vending machine, which replaced the former Metcard machine, and Telstra payphone at the entrance to the station, which can be accessed from Wells Road and Quinn Street, via a footbridge at the Flinders Street end of the station.
