JS Kabylie - History

History

The club was founded in 1928 by Sidi Saïd Hanafi under the name of RC Tizi-Ouzou, but the project stalled because of colonial laws in force in Algeria. Sidi Said Hanafi relaunched the project in the early 1940s and applied to join the FFF. However, his death resulted in the suspension of the proceedings. The project was then taken up by a group of players from the Olympique de Tizi-Ouzou.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

When we of the so-called better classes are scared as men were never scared in history at material ugliness and hardship; when we put off marriage until our house can be artistic, and quake at the thought of having a child without a bank-account and doomed to manual labor, it is time for thinking men to protest against so unmanly and irreligious a state of opinion.
    William James (1842–1910)

Racism is an ism to which everyone in the world today is exposed; for or against, we must take sides. And the history of the future will differ according to the decision which we make.
    Ruth Benedict (1887–1948)

    The custard is setting; meanwhile
I not only have my own history to worry about
But am forced to fret over insufficient details related to large
Unfinished concepts that can never bring themselves to the point
Of being, with or without my help, if any were forthcoming.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
