John Valentin

John William Valentin ( /ˈvælɨntɪn/; born February 18, 1967 in Mineola, New York) is a former shortstop and third baseman in Major League Baseball. He played most of his major league career with the Boston Red Sox, with his final season being for the New York Mets. He batted and threw right-handed. He is currently the assistant hitting coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
