In late 2006, Owen-Jones released his first solo CD, a five-track EP entitled Hallelujah, which can be purchased through his website. John also released a self titled album in 2009 with tracks from Les Misérables, Phantom Of The Opera and a trio with Michael Ball and Bryn Terfyl. He has just produced a third album, Unmasked, which was released on 16 April 2012.
