Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:
“The dialectic between change and continuity is a painful but deeply instructive one, in personal life as in the life of a people. To see the light too often has meant rejecting the treasures found in darkness.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
“They borrow words for thoughts they cannot feel,
That with a seeming heart their tongue may speak;
And in their show of life more dead they live
Than those that to the earth with many tears they give.”
—Jones Very (18311880)
