He currently owns and runs the record label D-1 Music with his father Lou Gordon, from which he produced and released Punk Statik Paranoia, as well as releasing their DVD, Trans Global Spectacle DVD. In March 2009, Gordon produced a five song E.P. with the band Settings from Buffalo, NY.
Jay is the producer of the group Trick Factory.
Gordon provided composition assistance to the band Escape The Fate's third album.
In October 2010, after six years of silence about Orgy, the news suddenly hit. All members of Orgy (save Jay Gordon) collectively brought accusations against Gordon of having "fired the band." In response, Jay released this statement to the public. he did a song with H-Vice
"This has NOT been about breaking up the original band ORGY.
"I owned the name ORGY and licensed it to the band at the beginning.
"Although Ryan, Amir, and I had been talking about ORGY touring this summer (which now has come and gone), it didn't feel to me that was going to happen. JULIEN-K had decided to go on tour to Europe instead.
"Now that everyone is working on different projects (some have SEVERAL), I needed to be able to move forward to revive the ORGY brand. In order to make that happen, for legal reasons, I had to send them a letter to inform them that as of October 26, 2010 the partnership would be terminated. In the letter I stated that if we were to tour, that everyone would still be paid equally, with no changes. So honestly, I can't see how they would arrive at what they wrote.
"Everyone has been so busy with their different projects I figured this was the only way for me to continue on with the name. I started this band, and I don't want to let it fall to the wayside completely.
"They mentioned being my brothers, so I am a little confused on why they did not call me about the situation before putting out a press release, implying things based on speculation that simply aren't true."
Orgy is currently on tour in the US, from February 10, 2012 until April 2, 2012. Gordon has joined up with Carlton Bost (DEADSY, THE DREAMING, LUNARCLICK) on guitar, Ashburn Miller (DEADSY) on guitar, Nic Speck (RUN RUN RUN) on bass and Jamie Miller (SNOT, THE START) on drums. Tour mates have been One-Eyed Doll, VentanA, 5ubkultur3, Faultline, Wonder World, Beta Plus Embryo, Star Killer, Fantasma, Orange, MNDR, Heavenly Trip to Hell, H.T.T.H, Attitude, The Attitude Az, Cynergy 67, Daylight, Dowsing, Like Bats, Brownie Mountain, The Devil You Know, Hollywood Falls, Sister of Pain, and Gundacker Project. Orgy is mainly touring small venues around the country.

Famous quotes containing the word present:
“If I had my life over again I should form the habit of nightly composing myself to thoughts of death. I would practise, as it were, the remembrance of death. There is no other practice which so intensifies life. Death, when it approaches, ought not to take one by surprise. It should be part of the full expectancy of life. Without an ever- present sense of death life is insipid. You might as well live on the whites of eggs.”
—Muriel Spark (b. 1918)
“Talk to them about things they don’t know. Try to give them an inferiority complex. If the actress is beautiful, screw her. If she isn’t, present her with a valuable painting she will not understand. If they insist on being boring, kick their asses or twist their noses. And that’s about all there is to it.”
—John Huston (1906–1987)
“We do not rest satisfied with the present.... So imprudent we are that we wander in the times which are not ours and do not think of the only one which belongs to us; and so idle are we that we dream of those times which are no more and thoughtlessly overlook that which alone exists. For the present is generally painful to us.”
—Blaise Pascal (1623–1662)
