Baruchel is engaged to actress Alison Pill. Baruchel made their engagement public when he thanked his fiancée (Pill) during an acceptance speech at the Genie Awards in Ottawa, Canada.
Baruchel is a fan of the Montreal Canadiens and Celtic FC, a football club from Glasgow, Scotland. He has several tattoos: a Celtic cross (on his upper right arm), his mother's maiden name (on his forearm), and a red Maple Leaf on his left pectoral (which can be seen in Fanboys and Knocked Up).
